The things that I found most interesting from reading other classmates blogs was how each of us inturpreted the skills that we were taught in class. And also how each of us had differnt ideas on how we were going to use the skills one we become teachers.

I would like to learn next the programs that are used as a gradebook. I think that it is a very good resourse to know how to use, since now all teachers do their grades on the computer.

I might achieve my future education technology-related goals by working with the new technology that i learned how to use and also researching other forms of educational technology.

The website http://www.suelebeau.com/ has a link to it with "free tools for teachers" these tools include, creating quizzes, worksheets, making games and puzzles, creating certificates, and surveys and forms. All of these tools are very helpful to a teachers. This website can help any teacher who is stuck and needs new fresh ideas in a quick and east way. As long as the teacher knows the information the website can help you organize it and make it east and readable for the students.

Even though after going through this class I can do many of the things that the tools offer by using Microsoft programs, such as word, excel and PowerPoint. For the teachers who are not proficient in these ares the website comes in handy very much. Another classmate found this same website, so it must be a good one.

As a teacher I will use excel when needing to make sheets for students grades. Or even make a chart to show my students certain data in an easy and readable way. When teaching a fourth grade math and science class I can use excel to teach the students the different types of graphs possible and an easy way to use them when they have to make their annual science fair projects.

For my groups final project we are going to make a budget for a yearbook class. We are going to buy new cameras, camera cases, printers, scanners, ink, paper, and software. We are going to be producing fifty copies of the book but only for the seniors since it is a high school in a very small town.

I am a beginner at making presentations with software, and for beginners there are five criteria one needs to follow for grading. The first is "Development of presentation" this means: the student has developed an idea for the map and represented both main ideas for the menu screen and detail for information screens. I think I did this very well, my idea for my presentation was a game which asked questions about the Disney princesses, every slide had information pertaining to that topic. The Second is "writing" this means; the student is writing to the standard of the grade level. I also believe that I did this. My writing was a little juvenile but that is because it is for elementary students. The third is "Navigation" this means; The student has a main menu from which the user chooses the season to display. The season on the main meur are in order. For my presentation the menu was the game board and all of it was very organized and each button took you to the correct page. The forth is " Content" this means; all content is coverd and is illustrated with two or more of the following ways is representing information: text, graphichs, video, audio, or animation. In my presentsation I represented my information in all of those ways. The fifth criteria is "Screen design" this means; the student has followed the rules of screen design that the teacher has choosen to emphasis in this presentation. I used the correcrt screen design and one rule that our teach emphasiszed was no too many words on each slide, and I did that very well.

I can intergrate perpherals into my classroom with non-computer audio-visuals by using a camera to take a picture of something then print it out (two peripherals) and then using an over head projector (non-computer audio-visual) to show and talk about the picture. I can use them with computer based technologies becasue almost all peripherals can be hooked up into the computer.

This last week I learned how to use powerpoint presentation. I had never really used it before, but all of it will be very helpful in my educational career becasue many teachers require makes presentations and explain them to the class.

The biggest advantage of using presentation software in a classroom is that it is more simple for the student to read the notes and information that is being presented. Also it is a huge advantage for the teacher becasue this way he/she can make an exciting lesson plan in advance for his/her classroom. Disadvantes of using a presenation software is that some teachers will present the notes but not talk about them because they are already in front of you.

A paragraph on how you might use PowerPoint to support student learning at each knowledge dimension in a particular lesson. Be explicit in your example! Use Chapter 5 and online resources.

An issure realted to educational technology that interests me is keeping grades on the computer, I know that it is not educational in the sense that you do not teach the students but it is still tewchnolgy used in the classroom. I know that there are differnt softwares that can be used, but I am interested to know which teachers use and how efficant they are.
